The situation in Kerala now is similar to that of India on the eve of the Khilafat Movement. One who cross-examines the situations of both segments of history can see several parallels. The Hindus of Kerala cannot forget the terrible days of the Moplah Riots of 1921, offshoot of the Khilafat-Non-Cooperation moment.

Since 1905, certain anti-national elements who kept the colonial malicious interest were in the process of controlling and moulding the Indian Muslim mindset in accordance with the days of the Prophet; that is, to see other religions and cultures with contempt and intolerance. This was conceived and executed as a socio-political movement and subjected to the demands of a peer group that had a reasonable amount of influence in the then administration of India.

The present sporadic developments of contemporary Kerala which appear in the news media are shocking and remind us of the days of the poem Tarane-i-Milli [1908], which contained the battle-cry for jihad and called for total conversion of the world to Islam by Mohammad Iqbal. All the recent jihadi developments have political patronage of the ruling or opposition coalition of contemporary Kerala. Both coalitions retain a short-term goal of winning the forthcoming election by any means.   

Aggressive Islam and the theocratic designs of the Church identically aim at destabilizing this nation in order to fulfill ‘Abrahamic religious’ ends. The only difference between Islam and the Church is in the modus operandi. Militant Islam uses the language of jihad; the sophisticated Christian Church with international backing reaches for the desired end. Contemporary India from the head of the ruling party to the judiciary and police is filled with Church cronies; that is why the Church is successful in regulating or manipulating the policies of the state more than any other pressure groups.

On 15 August 2009, Justice Cyriac Joseph of the Supreme Court, while addressing the International Laity Conference organized by Commission for Laity of Syro-Malabar Catholic Church [CLSMCC] in Kochi, openly declared his commitment to the church is higher than to the judiciary! He said there was no decline in his affection and love for the Church [PTI, 15 August 2009; Janmabhoomi Daily, Kottayam, 17 August 2009]. The speech is undoubtedly a clear violation of his oath of allegiance.

Earlier he proved his commitment to the Church with an unconstitutional visit in the laboratory where narco tests were conducted on two priests and a nun accused of the murder of Sr. Abhaya on 27 March 1997 in Pius X Convent at Kottayam. Justice Joseph made an unauthorised visit in the Forensic Lab at Bangalore on 23 May 2008, and viewed the CD of the test – a gross violation of legal ethics.

Justice Cyriac Joseph was then Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court. The CBI has reported the matter to the designated court [Janmabhoomi, Kottayam, 11 August 2009]. The purpose of his visit to the Lab is shrouded in mystery because the High Court of Kerala had noticed some dishonest editing of the CD!

If we analyze Justice Cyriac Joseph’s speech at the International Laity Conference and his visit in the Lab, the extent of the influence of the Church in the sovereignty of India becomes clear. Similarly, several judges at various levels today function as subordinate to the Church, an open secret in Kerala. One senior judge first opted for priesthood and completed his seminary education; then moved to the legal profession and reached his present coveted position. One retired Supreme Court Judge came out openly to defend the accused in the Sr. Abhaya murder case. What sort of justice one can expect from such judges with dichotomous loyalty; is it part of an international conspiracy?

The Catholic Church is planning to purchase 10,000 acres [approx. 24 sq km] of land in the Konkan area on the Karnataka-Maharashtra border to build an exclusive Catholic township, a matter of discussion in Church circles in recent years. This was formally proposed in the recent Assembly of CLSMCC at Kochi on 15 August, and the response was very positive. This was identified by the council as “second migration.” The first migration took place between 1920 and 1960 wherein Kottayam-based Christians occupied the revenue and forest lands of Northern Kerala and Southern Karnataka.

V.C. Sebastian, secretary of CLSMCC, said “The migration from Travancore [Kottayam] to Malabar played a major role in the growth of Syro-Malabar Church, but now it is in saturation. And availability of land is diminishing day by day in Kerala. At the same time there are places where unutilized fertile land still available.”

According to church sources, the proposal will be fruitful by 2030 [The New Indian Express, Kochi, 17 August 2009]. The land will be in the name of a registered society. If the Church is successful to build a hundred such colonies in the near future, widespread over India, the Church can decide the economic destiny of India. 

The Muslim version of the Christian strategy has no sophistication. It was hatched by a jihadi organization called Militia Malabar Mujahid based in Karachi, Pakistan. The demand is for the creation of a Muslim State by dividing Kerala [Rashtra Deepika, Kottayam, 14 August 2000]. The proposed new Muslim state will comprise of four Muslim majority districts of Kerala, and will be governed with Shari‘ah laws.

Bengal to Partition

This is not too different from the 1905 British proposal for a Muslim Province by dividing Bengal on communal lines. The then abortive venture [Kalakoodam] of the British gradually grew and finally ended in the Partition of India in 1947.

The pan-Islamic plan of building Dar ul Islam over Hindustan has now raised its hood [fana] from Kerala. The state’s political and economic situation is pleasing to jihadi enterprises. A recent directive from the Union Home Ministry to the State Crime Branch in charge of anti-terrorist operations has forbidden the police from interrogating Abdul Nassar Madhani, a hardcore terrorist and master brain behind several recent blasts in various Indian cities [Janmabhoomi daily, Kottayam, August 22].

Kerala now has 15 places where no civil or police administration is possible. The shameful reality is that the states’ governance is shrinking day-by-day and the vacuum is being filled by terrorists or goons. These 15 places are exclusively controlled by Islamic extremists. One place, Bhimapalli, is just 5 kms. away from Trivandrum. An exclusive Muslim zone, for a couple of decades the state administration has lost sway over the region due to the prevailing political climate of Kerala.
Political equations in Kerala rest on balancing communal minority votes. That is why the ruling and opposition parties are equally sympathetic towards Muslim and Christian fundamentalists. Now these places are under the total control of Muslim anti-socials and terrorists. Fourteen out of the 15 places are in Malappuram district, a Muslim district carved out of the Hindu majority district by CPI [M] Chief Minister E.M.S. Namboothirippadu in 1968, disregarding objections from the patriotic society of Kerala.

News about this alarming situation was reported only in the Janmabhoomi daily, which quoted the Union Home Ministry’s report to the state government on 27 February 2009 [Janmabhoomi daily, Kottayam, 28 July 2009]. All other newspapers kept silent in this regard because of the growing influence of Islamic groups over vernacular newspaper managements. A major newspaper with a circulation of over 1.7 million copies is trapped by jihadis through a Pakistani marriage plotted via a “love jihad.” The managements of the other two Hindu-owned vernacular newspapers have no spine to report such matters. The remaining half dozen publications are run by Muslim and Christian managements. 

Ironically, while the world is reeling under pressure of recession, Gulf remittances to Kerala via proper channels show 135% growth in the last five years! In 2003, remittance from the Gulf was $38 billion; in 2008 the figure reached $90 billion [The New Indian Express, Kochi, August 14].

Funds transferred through hawala are 300% of proper channel remittance. Earlier studies showed that the minorities are gifted with the lion’s share of foreign remittance benefits. Besides, the state government is eager to invite Middle East regimes to start Islamic Banks and similar huge investments in Kerala. This will further endanger the remaining national character of the state and society given the growing divisive mentality of the minorities.

The above picture is sufficient to understand the forthcoming changes and their impact over the nation as a whole. The majority Hindu community is highly politicized and is not in a position to understand the depths of the problems it will face in the near future. Hence, for the sake of national integrity, the intervention of Hindus in the rest of India is unavoidable in this alarming situation of Kerala.
