The European media is fuelling unfounded fears of an imminent Russian attack on NATO, pushing for either war or an unprecedented arms race. European leadership and deep-state actors are using this narrative to justify massive military spending.
Blindfolding the Greeks
The Greeks are getting “the business” that their lords and masters in Germany are sounding the alarm, contending that Vladimir Putin is intent on conquering Europe. This excerpt from Greece’s Protothema (and other media) gives us an example of what the Greek people are being led to believe.
“Germany’s Federal Intelligence Service (BND) and the Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) that, according to information published by Bild, Süddeutsche Zeitung, WDR, and NDR, believe that Russia is preparing for a large-scale war with NATO, as it strengthens its military power and views the West as a systemic opponent.”
Just days ago, Greece’s Defense Minister Nikos Dendias outlined the details of a 13% to 20% pay increase for members of his country’s military. Last year, the Greeks doubled defense spending. The government spends around three percent of its annual economic output on defense, higher than most EU states, using the ages-old fear that Turkey will attack at any moment. Frigates from France, Israeli-made Spike NLOS missiles, new submarines, satellites, drones, and fighter jets are now on the weapons menu.
A Horrified Poland
Some weeks back, Poland unveiled its goal to train every adult male for war. Warsaw is currently NATO’s most prominent defense spender, at 4.7 percent of GDP. The nation the Germans rolled over in a couple of weeks in WW2 now has the EU’s largest army, spending billions of euros on jets, rockets, tanks, artillery, and more. It’s no secret that Poland’s leadership is putting the whole nation on a war footing.
What’s rolling off the tongues of warmongers and NATO stooges like former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces General Leon Komornicki is pure fearmongering and arms industry propaganda. Komornicki parroted the view that the Russians are building a massive army in the rear. He and other top-level NATO military brass claim that if peace is not reached and the split within NATO continues, Russia will attack the Baltic States. He told reporters:
“This could happen at the end of this year or the beginning of next. An invasion is part of their plan.”
The Poles just diverted COVID recovery funds to defense, and signed a $1.7 billion order for 111 Borsuk IFVs to be built by Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa and Huta Stalowa Wola. Also, in recent news, Türkiye, Germany, South Korea, and France have sought to establish a partnership with Poland for ammunition production. Poland’s Defense Ministry has confirmed plans to restart domestic production of anti-personnel mines to produce up to a million weapons to fortify its borders with Russia and Belarus. Both Poland and the Baltic States have announced plans to withdraw from the Ottawa Convention, which bans anti-personnel mines.
Last but not least, Poland’s Prime Minister Donald Tusk told the parliament that his government was open to joining a nuclear security effort proposed by Paris. If ever the Polish people should harbour fears, putting rusty French nukes on their soil would ensure that if there is war, there will be nothing left of Poland. Talk about painting bullseyes.
Statehood: Canada’s Last Hope?
This EU push to start the most significant arms race in history is not an easy sell to countries like Hungary, Italy, or Spain. Interestingly, or fantastically, the Canadians are now eager to jump on the Emmanuel Macron war wagon. Why, you ask? After all, Russia making war on Canada is as ludicrous as Putin invading Venus. Seriously, all of this drum beating and bugle blowing is about – you guessed it – profits. According to Bloomberg, Ottawa is eyeing major defense deals with European manufacturers. Meanwhile, Canada and the EU are eager to purchase US-made F-35 fighter jets.
Canada wants to join the arms industry boom that has already begun. European markets are already way up on the blanketing news that France, Germany, and other nations are prepared to buy killing machines like hotcakes. Though it would take some months or years for Canada to ramp up production, arms makers are already seeing profits boom in Europe. Among the biggest movers recently were Germany’s Hensoldt, Italy’s Leonardo, France’s Thales, Sweden’s Saab, Britain’s BAE Systems, and Dassault Aviation, to name a few.
For Canada, the real rub is that the country has a pitiful military and an even worse defense industry. News that South Korea will be supplying the Canucks with weapons systems and surveillance technologies can only mean one thing. The Trump administration’s attitude toward Canada is that the leadership there is terrified. Since World War 2, Canada has relied almost exclusively on the U.S. for its defense.
Fears of worsening relations have sent the country scrambling. Before long, Trump’s idea of making Canada a U.S. state may soon seem extremely preferable to borrowing billions more to finance weapons purchases. Currently, Canada’s debt increases by $110 million per day. Canada currently spends about 1.3% of its GDP on defense. If Trump pulls the plug on them, I’ll let you do the math.
Eternity and Beyond!
I am often amazed at the dogma and innuendo European leaders and puppets allow themselves to be caught up in. If you take the time to watch the moves of people like EU boss Ursula von der Leyen or France’s Rothschild puppet Emmanuel Macron, their soulless pursuit of the big lie is so evident. Within the lines of their speeches and interviews, anyone can glean the true mission of those who stand behind and prop them up. Ukraine’s Zelensky is not the only comic actor bleeding Europeans. I leave you with a text from a white paper (PDF) generated by the EU entitled, “JOINT WHITE PAPER for European Defence Readiness 2030.”
“Upholding the international rules-based order will remain of utmost importance, both in our interest and as an expression of our values. However, a new international order will be formed in the second half of this decade and beyond. Unless we shape this order – in both our region and beyond – we will be passive recipients of the outcome of this period of interstate competition with all the negative consequences that could flow from this, including the real prospect of full-scale war. History will not forgive us for inaction.”
What strikes me is the arrogance of assuming the Europeans will “shape” the new multipolar order, and the word “beyond” implies aggressive activity toward other nations and regions. What’s more pungent, however, is the way these strategic geniuses use Ukraine and Russia as their launchpad for creating a European military monster. It’s pungent because it was the EU that fuelled the Euromaidan coup, and that worked with NATO to turn Ukraine into a kind of Maginot Line (See WW1 and WW2) – a staging area for a possible invasion of Russia.
As for history, it is about to repeat itself for the umpteenth time.
