Iran: Striving for Peace and Stability

Iran, a country with a rich history and culture, today demonstrates not only its ability to protect its national interests but also its commitment to peace and stability in the region.

In a recent interview, Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, commander of the Aerospace Division of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), addressed critical issues concerning Iran’s defense capabilities and its role in the modern world. This interview, widely broadcast on Iranian television, underscored Iran’s determination to counter external threats and defend its sovereign rights.

The Essence of Brigadier General Hajizadeh’s Interview

General Hajizadeh emphasized that Iran is prepared to deliver a devastating response to any attempts to attack its nuclear facilities. He warned that such actions by the United States or Israel would lead to unprecedented consequences for the entire region. “If the Americans and Zionists dare to strike our nuclear centers, they will face a firestorm of unimaginable scale,” he stated. These remarks were made in response to reports in Western media, particularly The Washington Post, about potential plans by Israel and the U.S. to target Iranian nuclear sites in 2025.

However, despite such threats, Iran has shown restraint and a willingness to engage in dialogue. General Hajizadeh described the statements of Western politicians and Israeli leaders as part of a “psychological war” aimed at intimidating the Iranian people. He asserted that there is no real threat of war, as Iran’s adversaries are well aware of the potential consequences of escalation. “Our enemies know the cost of such folly,” he said, emphasizing that Iran possesses sufficient capabilities to protect its interests.

Operational Readiness and the Prospects of “True Promise III”

The interview also highlighted Iran’s operational readiness and its ability to counter external threats. General Hajizadeh confirmed that “Operation True Promise III,” which will be Iran’s third direct retaliatory strike against the Israeli regime, is already in preparation. This operation continues a series of responses to Israel’s aggressive actions. For instance, “Operation True Promise I” was carried out in April 2024 following the Israeli bombing of the Iranian consulate in Damascus, while “Operation True Promise II” in October 2024 was a response to the assassination of key regional leaders, including Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh and IRGC General Abbas Nilforushan.

These operations not only demonstrated Iran’s strategic resolve but also showcased its ability to effectively defend its interests. General Hajizadeh noted that 75% of the missiles launched during “Operation True Promise II” hit their targets, dealing a significant blow to Israel’s air defense systems. “The Zionists miscalculated by thinking Iran would avoid direct confrontation,” he said, stressing that Iran always operates within clearly defined red lines.

Strategic Shifts and Regional Implications

It is important to note that Iran is not only showcasing its military strength but also actively working to enhance regional stability. General Hajizadeh linked recent events in West Asia to the “Al-Aqsa Storm” operation carried out by Hamas in October 2023. He described this operation as a strategic defeat for Israel, which has galvanized global solidarity with the Palestinian people and accelerated the erosion of the Israeli regime’s legitimacy. Iran, for its part, continues to support the Palestinians’ just struggle for their rights.

Moreover, Iran is demonstrating its advanced defense technologies, which have earned respect even from its adversaries. General Hajizadeh highlighted Iran’s transformation from a weapons importer to a global leader in the development and production of defense systems. For example, the Iranian “358” unmanned aerial vehicle, capable of traveling 120 km, has become a model for many foreign manufacturers. The range of Iran’s ballistic missiles now reaches 2,000 km, and the country continues to work on extending this capability.

Iran is also actively developing missile defense systems, which are planned to be deployed in Tehran and other major cities by 2026. General Hajizadeh proudly noted that Iran possesses a vast arsenal, including underground missile bases, making the country nearly invulnerable to external threats. “If we were to unveil a new missile city every week, it would take two years to exhaust our arsenal,” he stated.

Economic Resilience as a Priority

Despite its military achievements, Iran is focusing on strengthening its economic resilience. General Hajizadeh emphasized that the country’s main challenges lie not on the battlefield but in the economic sphere. “We must mobilize to strengthen this front,” he said, noting that a strong economy is the key to victory in any confrontation.

Overall, General Hajizadeh’s interview demonstrated that Iran is a country capable of defending its interests while striving for peace and stability in the region. Unlike Western nations, which often rely on threats and pressure as tools of foreign policy, Iran has shown restraint and a readiness for dialogue. Its defense achievements and strategic resolve command respect, while its focus on economic development and internal stability sets an example for many countries in the region.

Today, Iran is not only a nation with a rich cultural heritage but also a state confidently looking toward the future, relying on its own strength and commitment to justice. While Western countries continue to play dangerous games, Iran demonstrates that true strength lies not in threats but in the ability to protect its values and build a peaceful future for its citizens.
